USDA FSA Resumption of Activities
01/25/2019

As you know, USDA FSA will resume working with producers, farmers, and ranchers this week, on a somewhat limited basis until the partial government shutdown has ended.  This USDA news release shared details, but I’d like to touch base with you here as well.

All 96 Kansas FSA offices are open Thursday and Friday this week (January 24-25) and Monday through Friday the two weeks after that (January 23 through February 8).  At that point, offices will be open Tuesday through Thursday only.  Offices will be open regular business hours, 8:00am to 4:30pm.  We are glad to be back serving our producers and the public, as we know the shutdown has caused financial havoc for many.  Our focus and priorities right now will be assisting producers all across Kansas in the program areas that have been approved.  When the shutdown ends, we anticipate being released to work at our full function, in all programs and on a regular office schedule.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to us here at the Kansas State Office if you have any questions regarding program availability or payments.  More information can be found at www.fsa.usda.gov/help/shutdowninfo.

Thank you for your continued support of Kansas agriculture and helping publicize important information in critical times like these.
