An Auburn man was hospitalized following a one-vehicle accident on a northwest Missouri roadway last (Wednesday) night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 41-year-old Donald Parsons was driving eastbound on U.S. Highway 136 at 9:45 p.m., when the PT Cruiser he was driving went off the south side of the roadway. Parsons overcorrected, causing the vehicle to cross the highway and go off the north side of the roadway. The vehicle then struck an embankment and became airborne, coming to rest on its wheels. The State Patrol says the vehicle struck some utility lines while it was off the ground.
Parsons, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported by air ambulance to the Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph with what were described as moderate injuries.
