The Nemaha Natural Resources District has trees remaining for those wishing to plant a windbreak, shelter belt, or wildlife area this spring. However, if you’d like to order trees you should contact the NRD soon, as March 1st is the cutoff date for orders to be placed. The variety of trees available may also be limited as the deadline approaches.
Several species of conifers, deciduous trees, and shrubs are still available. Trees cost 85-cents each, plus handling charges and sales tax. Pre-payment is required and trees must be ordered in quantities of 25 per species. Orders can be picked up sometime in April.
For more information, contact the Nemaha NRD in Tecumseh at 402-335-3325.
