Jefferson Co Commission Modify Employee Handbook

 Jefferson County employees will have a few new rules to abide by for the upcoming year.

 Commissioners approved changes to the county’s employee handbook during their regular monthly meeting.

 One of the changes is no texting while driving on county business.

 Other changes include a provision that mandates direct deposit for all county employee paychecks.

 Commissioners also modified shared sick leave policies that removes donation of leave from an employee who has given notice.
