That's Brown County Emergency Preparedness Director, and Sheriff's Investigator, Randy Linck who says the investigation into the smell was quickly launched following reports from the public(Play Audio :18 seconds)
While the odor was very real, Linck says the danger it posed turned out not to be(Play Audio :27 seconds)
Although there was no actual threat, Linck says the public response was correct, reporting to authorities what could have been a life threatening situation.
