SE Nebraska Park Open, but Limited
03/22/2012

A southeast Nebraska park is open, but it may be a while before visitors are able to fully enjoy all the amenities at the park.
Iron Horse Trail Lake near DuBois opened last year following a yearlong renovation project.
Nemaha NRD officials say that while the park is again open, the lake is still refilling, so boating will be limited until adequate water levels are reached.  Fishing at Iron Horse Trail Lake is also limited until fish grow to a catchable size.
Among the new amenities at the park are new electrical RV camping spots, a new primitive camping area, and a new hiking trail that winds around part of the park.  The day-use side of the park is also open for picnicking.
