Lincoln - The Nebraska softball team cruised to its ninth straight win on Wednesday, run-ruling South Dakota State 8-0 in five innings at Bowlin Stadium.
The ninth straight win capped a perfect 7-0 homestand for Nebraska, as the Huskers improved to 20-12 on the year. Sophomore right-hander Tatum Edwards (6-2) earned the victory, tossing a one-hit shutout. Edwards did not allow an earned run for the second straight start. She allowed only one ball to leave the infield against the Jackrabbits and struck out four.

Kori Seidlitz (1-7) took the loss for South Dakota State, which fell to 4-16 on the season.
