A Wathena teenager is facing sex charges for alleged incidents involving two young girls.
18-year-old Joshua Russell has been charged in Doniphan County District Court with felony counts of sexual exploitation of a child, electronic solicitation of a child, aggravated indecent solicitation of a child and a misdemeanor count of harassment by cellphone.
Russell was charged following an investigation by the Wathena Police Department into alleged incidents involving a 12-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl earlier this month.
Police Chief Raymond Hall told the Kansas Chief that their investigation revealed Russell had met with the 14-year-old girl at the city park, where inappropriate contact allegedly took place.
