An Onaga teenager is facing a number of charges following what authorities say was his failure to comply during an attempt to stop him.
According to the Nemaha County Sheriff's Department, it happened Saturday when a report was received regarding a loud vehicle in Centralia.
Deputies responded, and, upon arrival to the scene, noted the vehicle driven by
17-year-old Devin R. Schlegel as suspicious.
They tried to stop him, but he allegedly refused, attempting to flee the scene.
However, he was later stopped and apprehended; and, according to a press release from the Sheriff's office, Schlegel now faces charges for fleeing or attempting to elude, reckless driving, speeding and failure to yield.
He was released to the custody of his parents.
