NU Volleyball Gets First Recruit of 2014 Class
Nebraska volleyball picked up its first recruit for 2014, edging out Big Ten foes Minnesota and Illinois, as well as Texas, by getting a commitment from outside hitter Maddie Haggerty, a top 100 player for high school sophomores according to PrepVolleyball.com.
Haggerty is 6’1 and led Benet Academy to the Illinois Class 4A state championship. She is transferring to St. Francis High School in Wheaton, IL along with her younger sister Molly.
Her older sister, Meghan, will be a freshman middle blocker at Wisconsin this season.
