Auburn City Council to Meet Monday

The Auburn City Council will meet at 7 p-m Monday evening. 
    During the meeting the Council will hear a presentation of National Historic District for Auburn by Audrey Mohr with the National Register and Jill Dolberg, the Review and Compliance Coordinator from the Nebraska State Historical Society.  They will discuss the advantages of Auburn designating a historical district.
    Requests from the Auburn American Legion Post #23 for special designated liquor licenses for July 13th and 14th during the Nemaha County Fair will be discussed.
    Other agenda items include hearing a request from the Valley View Apartment residents to clean up their neighborhood; a request for $200 in Keno funds from the Auburn Community Garden Club to purchase plants for city planters.
    City Housing Program Guidelines will be discussed as will a resolution to authorize submission of a pre-application for a 2012 Citywide Owner Occupied Housing Rehab Program Grant.
    Auburn Fire Department operation guideline updates will be reviewed and updating the ordinance for pay rates for new hires for the seasonal park position, part-time street employees and new police officer will be reviewed.
