Pottawatomie Road Work Underway
06/12/2012

Resurfacing work is underway in Pottawatomie County, and motorists, in the affected area of travel, can expect delays.
The Kansas Department of Transportation says the project began on a 27-mile stretch from the Pottawatomie/Nemaha County Line south to the
K-63/US 24 junction in Saint Marys.
Work is taking place during daylight hours, Monday through Friday, with some occasional Saturday work likely.
North and Southbound K-63 traffic is reduced to one lane, with a pilot car guiding motorists through the 45 mile per hour work zone.
Travelers should expect delays up to 15 minutes, and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
The 2-point-3 million dollar resurfacing is intended to smooth the road and extend it’s life span.
The completion date is late August, weather permitting.
