The Falls City, City Council will meet at 7 p-m Monday evening at City Hall.
During the meeting Mayor Tim Hersh is expected to ask the Council to confirm his appointment of Don Ferguson to the vacant fourth ward council seat.
Kevin Malone with the Ball Park Improvement Committee will meet with the council to request a loan of up to $600,000. A portion of the funds the Committee raised for the project were pledged over five years and the project needs to be paid for when completed.
In other business, the Council will be asked to authorize Mayor Hersh to send a letter to the Nebraska Department of Economic Development to inform them the City is going to retain the Community Development Block Grant Revolving Loan Funds held by the City as recommended by the Citizens Advisory Review committee.
The Council will also take action on a recommendation from the Board of Public Works to hire Fisher Construction to build a spoils dump at the Waste Water Treatment Plant at a cost of $55,000.
Discussion will also be held on a welcome sign owned by the Falls City Chamber located east on Highway 159; Discussion will also be held on the Mayor’s suggested appointment of Randy Raney to the Housing Authority.
A request to remove the four trees located south of the parking lot at the library will also be discussed.
