Weather permitting, work is scheduled to begin this week on US-73 north of Falls City to US-75.
According to the Nebraska Department of Roads, Constructors, Inc. of Lincoln, has the $4,196,608 contract to repair the concrete surface and reshoulder. Traffic on this 13.7-mile highway improvement project will be controlled by one-lane work zones and flaggers, where necessary. The project is anticipated to be completed in November 2012.
The Department of Roads’ project manager is Bill Cary of Tecumseh. Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously through construction zones.
