A Savannah, Missouri man opted for a preliminary hearing on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges Monday in Atchison County District Court.

Ricky Billings will have the prelim on June 28th on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony fleeing and eluding, felony obstruction, driving while suspended and driving under the influence.

He was arrested on May 20th by the Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper Bryan Clark after a high speed chase was terminated through Atchison.

Authorities later learned Billings was wanted by the state of Missouri for a paroleviolation.

The charges range from assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest to driving on a suspended license and speeding.

Billings is wanted by Country Club Village police following a brief pursuit on May 16.

The police department said Billings hit a patrol car, and then fled following an attempted traffic stop.
