For the second year in a row, the Kansas Cattlemen's Association, along with the Luthi Family, will be hosting a field day in Madison, KS. The event will take place on Saturday, September 29th and will begin at 1:00 pm at the Luthi property located at 3673 Z Rd. The day's activities will include a pasture golf tournament, a chuck wagon cookout, beverages and prizes, and will conclude with a legislative update and discussion regarding opportunities in the industry. "Pasture golf is an event you will not want to miss out on. It is some of the most light -hearted and entertaining golf you will ever play and skill level does not apply. Your choice of club is dependent upon what you can find in the shed. All ages are welcome as we encourage you to bring your family along for this tournament," remarked KCA Event Organizer Kelsey Gibson. KCA would like to thank the areas sponsors: Prairieland Partners - Emporia, Community National Bank & Trust - Eureka, LeRoy Coop - LeRoy, and Lyon County State Bank - Madison.
The event is open to consumers and producers alike. Attendees are encouraged to join in the fun by bringing ATVs, golf carts, horses, or any other means of rugged transportation. Legal clubs include: bats, sticks, tennis rackets, rakes, shovels, or golf club. Additional golf balls will be provided. The cost of the event is $35, which will go to support the work of the KCA.
If you have questions about the event or would like additional information, please call the KCA office at 785-238-1483.
