04/09/2014

(KNZA)--It's confirmed that an area man reported missing this week has been found dead.

According to investigators with the Doniphan County Sheriff's Department, the body of 21-year-old Nicholas Ploeger was found early Wednesday evening.

The discovery was made in a pasture, located at 195th Road, just west of Troy.

An alert asking for help in locating Ploeger, who was last seen alive early Sunday morning at a residence in Troy, was issued Wednesday morning by the Brown County Sheriff's Department. His mother lives in Robinson.

His death is being investigated as a suicide.
