Kansas Senior Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program
Senior Citizens (age 60 and above) are encouraged to apply to receive checks to buy fruits,
vegetables, herbs and honey at Farmer’s Markets.
Applications for the Kansas Senior Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program are available at Northeast Kansas Area Agency on Aging, 1803 Oregon St., Hiawatha, KS. Seniors may apply Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Seniors may also call the office at 800-883-2549 or 785-742-7152 and request to have an application mailed to them.
Those who meet income and age requirements will receive $30 in checks to purchase healthy foods
