(KLZA)-- The Johnson-Brock Board of Education has approved a contract with Lucas Dalinghaus to serve as Kindergarten – 12th grade principal for the 2015-16 school year. The annual salary will be $77,500.
Dalinghaus will replace Peyton Lewis who submitted his resignation during a prior school board meeting.
A contract with Educational Service Unit #4 for Special Education Services was approved. The Johnson-Brock School District will pay $127,854 for the services.
Superintendent Jeff Koehler updated Board members on the installation of a walk-in freezer in the kitchen, installing security cameras within the school and updating the hearing and cooling system this summer. Koehler has also been in contact with contractors for estimates on bathroom and locker room updates.
Principal Peyton Lewis reported a positive reaction from students to the New Chromebooks. Only minor issues have been reported. He said they are an improvement over the old laptops.
The Board also voted to recognize Trap Shooting competition as an excused absence from school to attend trap events.
