(KMZA)--Three rapes, 161 cases of minor in possession, and one aggravated assault.
Those are among the crimes handled by the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Department during last month's Country Stampede held at the Tuttle Creek Reservoir in Manhattan.
Sheriff Greg Riat says his office worked in conjunction with the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism, and the State of Kansas Alcohol Beverage Control.
A total of 27 suspects were booked into the Pottawatomie County Jail in connection with incidents occurring at the annual country music festival.
He notes that the statistics his agency has compiled related to the weekend don't represent cases worked by the Riley County Police Department or the Kansas Highway Patrol's Rave Unit.
