(KLZA)-- No one from the public spoke during a public hearing conducted by the Pawnee City Council Monday night concerning updates to the City Comprehensive Plan, Housing Study and Zoning Ordinances.
Zoning Administrator Cline Johnson told the Council that while there were several changes proposed for the future stability of the community, the changes are minimal.
One area of change is the hope to improve the use of wind and solar power in the future.
The Council also approved the expenditure of funds with Jason Suelter a structural engineer to prepare reports on three nuisance properties in the community. One is the laundromat owned by Eileen Hines, another is the adjacent building owned by Hines and the third is the Kobza Dental building. The total cost will be $4,000.
