(KAIR)--60 days behind bars.
That’s the sentence given to the Topeka man shot in the chest in June in Atchison County, but who also faced criminal charges in the incident.
30-year-old Bradley Schlicker was sentenced Oct. 14 in Atchison County District Court to 24 months in prison for possession of methamphetamine and six months for criminal use of weapon. Those charges are to run separate of one another.
However, the prison time was suspended to supervised probation.
But, Schlicker will still serve 60 days as part of his probation.
The charges stem from a June 4 shooting at a rural Atchison County home that left Schlicker severely wounded.
When deputies responded to the domestic disturbance, they discovered meth as well as Schlicker in possession of a firearm—which was illegal for him to possess based on his felony criminal history, according to Atchison County Sheriff Jack Laurie.
