Ever Consider Beekeeping? Do you like honey? Want a new way to help the environment?
Looking for a new hobby? If so, we have the event for you! Brown and Doniphan County Extension Units are hosting a workshop designed to introduce novices to the basics of
beekeeping. Loren Flint will introduce attendees to establishing, maintaining, and harvesting your own hives. Loren is a long time member of a local beekeeping group, an excellent resource for folks interested in taking the next step! Golden Prairie Honey Farms
will showcase equipment and supplies.

This Manhattan company sells hive components and equipment that is made, packaged, and shipped by soldiers and veterans, and manages their own apiaries where they do advanced lessons. There is no cost to attend, but we ask you to RSVP by January 29 so we can provide enough refreshments. Contact Matt or Margaret with any questions or to RSVP.
