A Horton man was killed and three Horton residents seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident early this ( Wednesday ) morning on a Brown County road.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 20-year-old Chris Lavon Perry was traveling east on 130th Road, about 9 miles southwest of Powhattan, when he lost control of his Chevy Trailblazer and the vehicle rolled multiple times.
Perry was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers, 16-year-old Cass Ellen Cadue and 19-year-old Brandon Negonsott, were transported to the Horton Community Hospital with disabling injuries. A third passenger, 14-year-old Maribel Saenz, was transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
The Patrol says none of the occupants were wearing seatbelts.
The accident was reported shortly before 12:30 this ( Wednesday ) morning.
