The Tigers try at a comeback fell short and they fell to below .500 with the loss, sitting at 4-5 now on the season. Senior forward, Dalton Dean led the Tigers with 12 points in the game.

Girl’s Varsity: Holly Kuckelman (Nemaha Valley) 22 points
 
The Raiders continued their success coming out of the holiday break as they stretched their winning streak to three games with the 31 point victory at home over Jeff West Tigers, 58-27. It was relatively close in the first quarter but the Raiders opened up a nine-point lead at the half and then used a huge second half to cruise to the victory, as they outscored the Tigers 27-8 in the second half.
 
It was a another great performance by the senior, Holly Kuckelman for the girl’s Raiders squad has she took home her second United Bank & Trust "Player to Bank On" award this season with her 22 point performance. Seniors, Megan Thorm and McKayla Brezina finished the night with nine and eight points, respectively for the Raiders in the win.
 
Junior guard, Erika Essman, led all Jeff West players with 12 points on the night as the Tigers fell to 2-7 on the season with the loss.
 
Boy’s Varsity: Creighton Brinker (Nemaha Valley) 16 points
 
Both teams started off with some cold shooting in the game with it being only a 10-8 score at the end of the first quarter with Nemaha Valley leading. Then the Raiders opened up the scoring a little in the second quarter, ultimately taking a 26-17 lead into halftime over the Jeff West Tigers. Third quarter the Tigers pounced quickly to try and make a run at the Raiders, but the Raiders will able to fend them off and increase their lead in the fourth quarter to close the game out with a 52-39 victory.
 
It was junior forward, Creighton Brinker who helped get the scoring going a bit in that second quarter for Nemaha Valley and finished with a game high 16 points, notching him the United Bank & Trust "Player to Bank On" award for the boy’s varsity action. Two other Raiders came away with double-figures with senior, Alex Hermesch and junior, Drew Steinlage netting 13 points, each.
