On February 22nd, United States Senator Pat Roberts will visit three local communities-including Hiawatha-holding town hall meetings during the President's Day congressional work period.
The Kansas Republican will begin the local tour with a stop at the Hutchins Building, in Holton, from 10 to 11 that morning, and then it's on to Hiawatha, with that visit arranged by Brown County Commissioner Keith Olsen(Play Audio 11 secs)
Olsen's idea is to allow the community on a whole, and the students who will attend, to see, first hand, who it is that represents them in Washington D.C.(Play Audio 16 secs)
Following the one hour stop in Hiawatha, Senator Roberts will travel to Marysville, where he will meet with the public, at City Hall, from 3:15 until 4:15.
