3A Girls Semifinal State Basketball from Hutchinson
Silver Lake 56 - ACCHS 46
In a great game that featured 18 lead changes, Silver Lake made the final run, posting 25 points in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 10 points victory against ACCHS. The Lady Tigers trailed by one point at halftime but led 32-31 entering the final quarter. Silver Lake, now 21-4, made a trio of treys early in the final frame, handing the Tigers their second loss of the season and their first to someone other than JCN the past three years. Hannah Corpstein led ACCHS with 13 points and 9 rebounds while Tara Ellerman added 8 points and 12 rebounds before fouling out. After capturing their first-ever league championship, ACCHS will try to add to their school record 23 win-total as they take on Garden Plain in the third place game at noon Saturday. The Lady Tigers look to match their best ever state finish after placing third at Hutch in 2007. Live coverage on KAIR 93.7 FM and www.mscnews.net
