A 25 year old Leavenworth man pleads guilty to having intent to distribute marijuana at a house near Atchison Middle School Monday in Atchison County Court.

Christopher Haskell made the plea on level three drug felony charge as part of a plea deal.

As a result of the plea, charges of possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute, no drug tax stamp and interference with a law enforcement officer.

He could face 14 to 51 months in prison on the charge.

Haskell remains in Atchison County Jail on 50 thousand dollars bond.

Sentencing is scheduled for April 9th.

Another person allegedly involved in the case, 26 year old Caleb Jones of De Kalb, had his bond reduced from 65 to 10 thousand dollars Monday in court.

This comes after an initial denial of a bond reduction on March 9th.

He is accused of allegedly leading Atchison police on a vehicle chase on February 22nd, allegedly committing six traffic offenses.

Jones also faces the same drug charges as Haskell once did for his alleged involvement, as well as interference and fleeing and eluding a law enforcement officer for the alleged pursuit.

He had his case continued until March 30th.
