Mary Arline “Pear” Langley, 59, of Falls City, Nebraska, died early Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Pear was born October 27, 1954 at Falls City, one of ten children of Eldon and Mary K. Rhoads Fryer.  Mary was raised in Falls City where she attended schools, graduating from high school in 1973.  She continued her education and graduated from Methodist School of Nursing in St. Joseph, MO, as a registered nurse.  She spent most of her working life as registered nurse at Hiawatha Community Hospital until retiring in 1982.  Pear’s interests include:   koala bear collection, Nebraska Husker Football, spending time with family and friends, and was very proud and happy to babysit her many nieces and nephews, and also, for her friend’s two sets of twin boys, all were her “children”.

Mary was a former Camp Fire Girl; Rainbow Girl; and Order of Eastern Star member.

She was married to Steve Langley, March 16, 1990, at Hiawatha.  They made Falls City their home all of their married life.  He died May 14, 2014.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; her siblings:  Thelma Douglas, Jeanine Strecker, Jerald Fryer, and Rebecca May Fryer.

Survivors include siblings: Elaine (Ben) Hutson, Keith Fryer, both of Lander, Wyoming, Nancy Rowland of Worland, Wyoming, Carol (Tom) Voyles of Nashville, KS., Lynn Fryer of Wausau, Wisconsin, and Marcia (Randy) Blanton of Hiawatha; many nieces and nephews.

Services are planned for 7 p.m. Saturday, September 13, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha.  Cheryl Mishler will officiate.  Cremation will follow with inurnment at a later date.

The family will meet with friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Mary Langley Memorial Fund to help defray funeral expenses and may be sent in care of the funeral home, 124 S 7th St., 66434.
