 ONAGA – Elmer Haug, 87, of Onaga, died Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Deseret Health and Rehab at Onaga.

 He was born December 4, 1927 at Baileyville, the son of Andrew and Francis Olberding Haug.
 
Elmer was a farmer and a stockman and had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
 
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Onaga and Blaine Knights of Columbus Council No. 2278.
 
Elmer married Betty Annan on October 13, 1962 in Onaga. She survives, of the home.
 
He was preceded in death by a brother, Adrian Haug and a sister Adriana Devaney.
 
Other survivors include a son, John Haug and wife Lori, Westmoreland; a daughter, Elsie Holz, Wamego; three sisters, Cynthia Todd and Betty Lauer, Kansas City, MO and Dolores Miller, Valley Falls; and three grandchildren, Ethan, Shelby and Bryan Holz.
 
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 23rdat St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery at Blaine. Elmer will lie in state from noon Wednesday until 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga. He will lie in state after 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the church where a rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m., followed by visitation.
