Juanita May Cozad, 93, of Holton, KS passed away January 28, 2015 at her daughter’s home in Topeka. She was born January 4, 1922 in Holton, KS the daughter of Otis and Mabel (Decker) Duffy.

Juanita graduated from Holton High School and cosmetology school in Topeka. She lived most of her life in Holton and was a homemaker. Juanita was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Holton, P.E.O., Beck-Bookman Library and Tourist Club.

Juanita married Eaf Ramsey, he was killed in France during WWII. She later married Jack D. Cozad on June 29, 1946 in Holton. He preceded her in death on November 3, 1992.

Survivors include a daughter, Nita Diane Cozad Bowers of Topeka, KS; a grandson, Adam Steven Chapman (Bonnie) of Topeka, KS; a great-grandson, Aidan Steven Chapman and a first cousin, Mildred Alley of Holton, KS.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the Holton Cemetery. Per Juanita’s request, the casket will be closed. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is in charge of arrangements.
