George C. Rush, 95, of Troy, Kansas passed away Monday, February 2, 2015.

George was born on October 28, 1919 in Severance, Kansas to Virgil P. & Ida C. (Ploeger) Rush.

He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Bendena, Kansas. George served in the U.S. Navy during WII & farmed all of his life.

George married Sylvia Johnson on December 27, 1946 in Everest, Kansas at the Zion Lutheran Church. She survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Joe, Harold, Hylen & Frank & a sister, Audrey Roberts.

Daughters, Mildred Tubbs (Frank) of St. Joseph, Missouri; 
Ann Rush (Larry) of Bendena, Kansas; 
5 Grandchildren; 
Brother, Edmond “Gene” Rush of Highland, Kansas; 
Sister, Shirley Silva of Belo Horizonte, Brazil; 
Numerous nieces & nephews. 

Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M. Thursday, February 12, 2015
At the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bendena, Kansas. 
Visitation: 6-8 Wednesday evening at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Troy, Kansas. 
Friends may call after 9 A.M. Wednesday.
Burial: Moray Cemetery, Bendena, Kansas, where there will be full military honors under the auspices of U.S. Navy.
