Ray “Fatman” Richard Manthe Sr., 78, of Wathena, Kansas passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015.

Ray was born on April 8, 1936 in Highland, Kansas to Robert & Eva (Allen) Manthe.

He was a member of the National Guard. Ray loved to play card games, hunting, fishing & following his children, grandchildren & now great-grandchildren in sports.

Ray married Stella Bennett on May 31, 1957 in St. Joseph, Missouri. She preceded him in death on July 15, 2006. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 6 sisters & twin brother.

Survivors: son, Ray Manthe Jr. (Kim) of Platte City, Missouri Daughter, Tammy Swoboda (Curt) of Wathena, Kansas Grandchildren, Kriston Goodwin & Joe Manthe Great-grandchildren, Payton, Lincoln & Alton Goodwin & Mason Ray Manthe Numerous nieces & nephews Special friend, Peggy Thorp
