Don Ray Henning, 82, of Topeka, KS passed away February 8, 2015 at Thornton Place in Topeka, KS. He was born August 21, 1932 in Effingham, KS the son of Roscoe Burman and Virgie (Petrie) Henning. 

Don graduated from Effingham High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. He had lived in the Holton and Winchester communities where he did bulk transport for Mid America Dairy in northeast Kansas for many years. He lived in Northglenn, CO for 18 years working as a supervisor for Coors Ceramic Plant in Golden, CO. He moved back to Topeka after retirement in 2000 and worked part time for Capital City Mortuary Services.

Don was married to Beulah Faye Hickman on December 7, 1965. She survives of the home. Others survivors include 2 step-daughters, Carolyn Kuckleman (Don) of Topeka, KS and Ruth Ann Barrett (Mike) of Lakewood, CO. He is also survived by 3 nieces, 5 nephews, 8 step grandchildren and 21 step great- grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by a step-son Jerry Rohlfs, a sister Edna Filbert, 2 brothers, George and Robert Henning and a nephew.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2015 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. Burial will follow at the Valley Falls Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be given to the American Heart Association c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O.
