Roberta “Bobbie” Lea Abrahm, 94, went to join her heavenly father on February 4, 2015. She was born February 5, 1920 in Circleville, KS the daughter of Guy Amos and Dorothy (Beightel) Nelson.

Bobbie graduated from Circleville High School in 1937 and continued her education by attending business school in Florida.

She married Bernard “Barney” on September 15, 1945 in Washington D.C. Bobbie continued to work for the federal government in the Bay Area, south of San Francisco, until retirement in 1982. Following this, she worked in the Dixie School District in San Rafael, retiring in 1985.

Following Barney’s death in 1997, Bobbie moved to Drake Terrance Apartments in San Rafael during 1999.  In 2012, she attended her 75th class reunion at the Circleville Alumni.  Bobbie returned to Kansas in 2013 to be near family and live at the Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Barney; a brother, Louis Scott Nelson; 3 sister-in-laws, Mildred (Abrahm) Steele, Betty Proctor Nelson and Loretta Nelson.

Survivors include a brother, Ross Nelson (Betty Fleming-Nelson) of Holton, KS; nieces, Sandra Morris of Holton, KS, Debbie St. Hilaire of Brentwood, CA and Deliece Hofen of Olathe, KS; nephews, Bruce Nelson of Topeka, KS, Brent Nelson and Shawn Nelson both of Holton, KS, Kevin Nelson of Burlington, KS, Dennis Nelson of Benedict, NE, David Steele of Vacaville, CA and Richard Steele of Magalia, CA and several great-nieces, nephews and many cousins.

Memorial services are planned in Holton and San Rafael, CA. The Holton service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Family will greet friends Saturday, from 2:00 p.m. until service time. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Francisco, CA; beside her husband.
