Mary L. Edds, 77, formerly of Robinson, Kansas, died Wednesday afternoon, March 11, 2015, at her Kansas City, Missouri assisted living apartment.

Mary was born at Troy, August 1, 1937, at Troy, one of four children born to Paul Sr. and Marie Thompson Wilson.  She grew up at Robinson, where she attended school, graduating with the class of 1955 at Robinson High School.

She married Wilbur “Jim” Edds, also of the Robinson area.  Soon after they married, they moved to Kansas City to make their home.  They lived in several places across the United States with his work with the FAA through his career, but have been longtime Kansas City, Missouri residents.  Mary was a homemaker, it was important to her raising her family and supporting her husband.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years Jim of the home; three children:  David (Cecilia) Edds of Kansas City, MO, Gary (Sharon Evans) Edds of Roeland Park, KS, Louise Edds of New Baden, IL; a sister Janet (Ron) Holliger of Blue Springs, MO; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents:  Paul Wilson Sr., Marie Austin and Emery G. Austin (step father), two brothers: Paul Wilson, Jr., and Edward Wilson.

The family will receive friends at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha from 12:30 until 2:30 Saturday p.m., March 14, with services to follow at 2:30.  Reverend Randy Quinn will officiate.  Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Robinson.
