Carolyn Sue Scott, 72, of Sabetha, KS passed away gracefully on Monday, March 16, 2015 at her home with family by her side after a battle with cancer. 

Sue was born in Sabetha, KS on December 24, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Betty McQuillen. She lived in Texas and California before returning to Sabetha, KS to finish raising her children. Sue enjoyed her work as a cashier at local businesses. Most of all, she enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. 

Sue was preceded in death by grandchildren William Broome Jr., Brandy Hoskins, and Anita Hoskins. She is survived by her eight children; Joseph and Shelly Hoskins; Jane Hoskins and William Broome; Anita Hoskins and Tom Frost; Jason Wilbar; Lester and Stacy Scott; Aaron Scott and Amanda Hartley; Donald Larson; and William Larson III; and her brother Richard McQuillen. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Nemaha County Home Health & Hospice, or Sabetha Food Pantry, sent in care of the funeral home, 823 Virginia, Sabetha, KS 66534.
