Margaret C. Wiedmaier

 Margaret C. Wiedmaier, 86, Raytown, Missouri formerly of Doniphan, Kansas died Monday, 


March 16, 2015 at Autumn Terrace Nursing Center, Raytown, Missouri.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral 

Home with Rev. Dwight Scott officiating.  Interment will follow in Doniphan Cemetery, 

Doniphan, Kansas.  Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, March 24th from 10:00 A.M. until 

11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions 

Margaret was born May 26, 1928 in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of James and Lillian Grable 

Burke.

She and Ernest A. Wiedmaier were united in marriage on June 26, 1952 at St. John the Baptist 

Church in Doniphan, Kansas.  Mr. Wiedmaier preceded her in death on August 12, 2008.

Margaret formerly worked on the assembly line at Electra Manufacturing Company in Atchison.  

She also taught school at Spring Grove School north of Doniphan, and Cedar Creek School north 

of Troy, Kansas.  She then worked for the Blish-Mize-Silliman Company in the 1950’s. Her 

greatest employment was remaining at home as a homemaker raising her children and 

providing a family home environment.

Margaret was a member of St. Benedict Parish in Atchison, Kansas.  She moved to Kansas City, 

Missouri in 2008 and in 2010 she moved to Raytown.  While in Kansas City and Raytown she 

attended Bannister Road Baptist Church.

Survivors include her six sons, Steven Wiedmaier, Kansas City, MO, Dave Wiedmaier, Savannah, 

MO, Tom Wiedmaier, Seattle, WA, Bob Wiedmaier, Phoenix, AZ, Jim Wiedmaier, Phoenix, AZ, 

Joe Wiedmaier, Topeka, KS and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Owen “Curly” Burke.
