Vincil Holder, 91, Leona, KS, passed away March 19, 2015, in Mesa, AZ, from complications of pneumonia.

He was a lifelong farmer/stockman and enjoyed being outdoors. The last 23 years he was a snowbird in Arizona soaking up the sun. Vincil was a veteran of World War II; belonged to the American Legion; and Masonic Lodge member for 70 years.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years Beverly (Mendenhall) Holder of the home; sons Blaine (Barbara), Myron (Rosie), Kent ((Kimberly); four grandchildren: Melissa (Scott) Patrick, Bryan (Nikki), Brad (Alisha), Kelli Holder; great-grandson Nolan Patrick. A sister Helen Ruth Hawks also survives.

Vincil was preceded in death by his parents H.E. & Vertie Lehew Holder; and a sister Pauline Parker.

A Celebration of Vincil’s life is planned for 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26th, at Zion United Methodist Church, northeast of Robinson.

Friends may call at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha after 10 a.m. Wednesday. A Masonic Committal Service is planned for 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by the family visiting with friends until 8.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled/Burned Children which may be sent in care of the funeral home, 124 S 7th St., Hiawatha 66434.
