Jeffrey Alan Fischer
Wherry Mortuary of Pawnee City
Cortland, NE

Jeffrey Alan Fischer, 52, Cortland, NE, left this world March 20, 2015 to be with his beloved daughter Emily after sustaining injuries in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident near Odell, NE.

Jeff was a man of many talents and hobbies.  He loved hunting, cars, motorcycles and guns; and the louder the better.  He was a history buff and an avid reader who had a breadth of knowledge in so many areas.

Jeff was best known, and loved, for his sense of humor.  Everyone who knew Jeff loved him for his quick wit and his playfulness.  He was constantly playing practical jokes that put a smile on everyone’s face.  If he teased you, that’s how you knew he loved you.  His wife Pam says that Jeff spent every day trying to make her laugh and to put a smile on her face.

Jeff was also a loving, devoted and loyal husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend.  He stood strong and tall as the best caregiver for his special little Emily.  He never stepped away from that responsibility.  He was devoted to Emily as he was devoted to his friends and family.  If you were a friend of Jeff’s you knew it.  He went out of his way to make those close to him feel happy and loved.  He always came up with the perfect Christmas gift.  All his nieces and nephews called Uncle Jeff their favorite.  He was the playful Uncle who wouldn’t tell your parents.  He made you feel special and many people felt they were Jeff’s best friend.

He is preceded in death by his mother Janet Fischer and his daughter Emily Fischer.

He is survived by his wife Pam and her parents Merlen and Sarah Hothan, his father Clay Fischer, his brother’s Mike Fischer and Dan Fischer, and many nieces, nephews, and relatives who loved him deeply.
