Tracey Ray Manchester, 60, of Mayetta, KS passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at his home. He was born October 12, 1954 in Independence, Louisiana the son of W.S. and Sylvia Yvonne Ard Manchester.

Tracey graduated from Greensburg High School in Louisiana in 1973. He then served in the U.S. Army and saw overseas action including Vietnam and Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He worked as Sgt. of Corrections at the Jackson County Detention Center. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.

Tracey was married to Dallice Rainey. They later divorced. He then married Ingrid Gonsior and they later divorced. He was married to Hattie Conger on February 28, 2003. They divorced in 2009. Survivors include his parents, W.S. and Yvonne Manchester of Louisiana; his children, Tracey Ray Manchester, Jr. of Louisiana, Kimberly M. Manchester of Hamlin, KS, Kenya L. Amon (Kyle) of Whiting, KS and Sammy W.R. Manchester of Holton, KS; his sister, Tara M. Still (Mike) of Louisiana; his brother, Greg Manchester (Melissa) of Louisiana and his grandchildren, Currissa, Logan, Jessie, Essie, Benjamin, Catherine, Elizabeth, Sylvia, Conner, Nicole and Becca.

A Celebration of Tracey’s Life will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. He will be cremated following the celebration and interment will be in the Netawaka Cemetery at a later date.
