George Douglas Droge, 38, of Topeka, died at his home on Tuesday, March 31, 2015.

George was one of triplets born on July 4, 1976 in Pago Pago, American Samoa to Doug and Fina Seva’aetasi-Droge. They grew up in Bern, Kansas and he graduated from Bern High School in 1994. He joined the Kansas National Guards on January 1, 2000; he was attached to 2D BN 130th FA 108 First in Hiawatha and he was later attached to the US Army, he did two tours in Iraq and was discharge as a E4 on November 2, 2009.

He married Kayla Drury on October 31, 2010 at the American Legion in Perry, Kansas.

George enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He was proud to serve his country and was proud to be a soldier. He was family orientated and loved his children. He was a caring and generous man, who would give away everything he owned, if he felt it would help someone in more need. Even after death he continued to help others by being an organ donor.

He is survived by his wife Kayla of Topeka; his children, Joseph Seva’aetasi-Droge of Wamego, Cassidy Seva’aetasi-Droge of Wamego, Kimberly Seva’aetasi-Droge of Wamego and Katrina Drury of Topeka; his parents, Doug Droge of Bern and Fina Seva’aetasi-Droge of Seneca; his sister, Betsy Seva’aetasi-Droge of Seneca; his brother, Benjamin Seva’aetasi-Droge of Ozawkie Kansas; and grandmother, Lola Droge of Bern.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Leslie Droge, Tago Robert Seva’aetasi and Svila Solomona-Seva’aetasi.

The family will visit with friends on Friday morning, April 10th from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. Military Honors will be at the American Legion Post 400, 3029 US 24 Highway, Topeka, KS  66618 on Friday, April 10th from 2 to 4 PM. The military honors will be provided by the Kansas Army National Honor Guard of Topeka. A celebration of life service will be on Saturday afternoon, April 11th from 2 to 4 PM at the American Legion (where they were married) 410 Perry Plaza, Perry, Kansas 66703.

Memorials are for PTSD awareness and his Children Education Fund.
