Reva Carolyn Korte, 85, of Holton, passed away Monday, February 10, 2020 at Medicalodges Jackson County in Holton with family by her side.

She was born October 1, 1934 at Baileyville, Kansas, the daughter of Anton and Margaret Broxterman Nolte.  She graduated from Kelly High School in 1952.

Reva was a homemaker.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, helping her husband with woodworking projects, gardening and crafting.

She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Holton and the Altar Society at the church.

Reva married Marion Francis Korte on June 30, 1955 at Kelly, Kansas.  They celebrated sixty-four years of marriage.  He survives, of the home.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Anthony Korte, who died in infancy, three sisters, Fran McAsey, Berniece Wilhelm and Marjorie Steinlage, and two brothers, Clete Nolte and Kenny Nolte.

Other survivors include two daughters, Joyce Gould (Rich), Admire, and Jayne Roberts, Holton; two sons, Raymond Korte (Deb) and Randy Korte (Pat), all of Holton; one sister, Theresa Korte (Adrian), in Iowa; nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 13th at St. Dominic Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery at Holton.  Reva will lie in state at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton where a Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, followed by visitation until 8:30.  Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box 1034, Holton, KS  66436.  On-line condolences may be made at chapeloaksfuneralhome.com
