Patricia " Patty" Lentz

Patricia L. “Patty” Lentz, (Waggoner), 70, of White Cloud, KS, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 30, 2020, at the Hiawatha Community Hospital.

Patty was born June 28, 1949, at Highland Hospital, to Henry E. “Bean” and Doris A. Collins Waggoner.  She grew up in White Cloud, attended school there until she went on to graduated  high school in Highland, KS.

She later married Larry D. Lentz on May 27, 1967, in Fanning, KS.  There were married for 52 years and had two children:  Jennifer and David.

Patty worked and retired from the University of Kansas after 20 years.  She was formally a part of the Women’s Auxiliary, liked buying gifts for local families at Christmas, cooking, and serving food during the Flea Market.

She was an amazing cook and loved to bake.  She would be baking up a storm to help supply the Legion with pies for the Flea Marker and making way too many sugar cookies at Christmas time.

Patty also loved spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Patty is survived by her husband Larry Lentz, her daughter Jennifer, granddaughter Kyla Cole, grandson Jordan Lentz and great grandson Keegan Cole, all of McLouth. KS; her son David (Amber) Lentz, her grandson Zachary Lentz, great-grandson Jace Lentz, great-granddaughter Emori Lentz, granddaughter Allison Lentz, great-grandson Braxton Winborn and great-granddaughter Amelia Winborn.

Other survivors include three brothers:  Mike (Joyce) Waggoner of White Cloud, Charles (Nancy) Waggoner of Sedalia, MO, and John (MaryAnn) Waggoner of Falls City, NE.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Richard Waggoner, and a sister Jeanie Idol.

Patty will be cremated with no service at this time due to virus restrictions.  A time of fellowship and memorial will be planned for a later time and date.
