Lois P. Betts went to be with her Lord and Savior onMay 6th 2021.  Lois passed peacefully inher home surrounded by loved ones after a short battle with cancer.

Lois was born March 17, 1939 to George E. and WildaJ. (Carson) Behler.  Lois was the fourthof nine children.  Lois married BennyOxley in January of 1959.  She had threechildren from that union, Jeff, Debbie and Shirley Oxley.  She married James Betts, Sr., in January of1966.  She had three children from thatunion, Jimmy, Ricki and Amy Betts.

Lois was preceded in death by both parents and two brothersKent and Paul Behler, two grandsons, Trevor and Eric Betts and daughter-in-lawPamela Oxley.  Survivors include Jeff(Sherri) Oxley, Rantoole, KS, Debbie and Blaine Sherer, Everest, KS, Shirley andRonnie Irvin, Rosehill, KS, Jimmy Betts, Huron, KS, Ricki Harvey, Willis, KS,Amy and Dave Jones, Stilwelll, KS, twenty-two grandchildren, thirteen greatgrandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, siblings, Grimes Behler,Atchison, KS, five sisters, Leila McConnaughey, Edythe Myers, Everest, KS,Linda, McRay, St. Joseph, MO, Sharon Gladman, and Pam Westbrook, Independence,MO.

Lois retired as a Youth Service Worker from YouthCenter of Atchison after twenty-three years of service.  She raised her children in Denton, Kansasthen made her home in Atchison, Horton and finally Willis, KS.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday,May 11, 2021 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison, KS with Rev.Tom Stone officiating.  Burial will followat the Old Huron Cemetery, Huron, KS. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, May 10,2021 at the funeral home.  Memorials aresuggested to Horton First Baptist Church and may be sent in care of the funeralhome.  Online condolences may be left at www.beckerdyer.com.
