Marjorie Lenora Kopf

Marjorie Lenora Kopf, 88, of Falls City, NE, passed away June 02, 2021 in Falls City, NE.   She was born November 8, 1932 on a small farm near Dawson, NE to Sebastian and Mary (Alfers) Koelzer. 

On December 14, 1950, she married Leonard Kopf at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Falls City, NE. Marjorie and Leonard established their home on a farm northeast of Falls City.  Together they ran their family farm for 42 years and raised their 3 children. Leonard passed away February 16, 1992.  Marjorie continued to live on the farm for 3 more years.  In 1995, she decided to move to Falls City.

Marge’s life and history was visible in her gentle yet worn hands, as she loved to cook, bake, and garden. Sewing was another one of her talents, and each of her grandchildren have a quilt to show for it. She was a homemaker and loved being at gatherings surrounded by family. Her home tells stories of babysitting each of her grandchildren, playing cards with them and watching movies. Marge was devout to her faith and was a long-time member of the Immaculate Conception Church at Rulo, NE and the Catholic Daughters. 

Marjorie is survived by her sons, Thomas (Cindy) Kopf and Tony (Mik Christian) Kopf of Falls City; son-in-law, Doyle Bletscher, of Rulo; 11 grandchildren, Mathew Bletscher, Lindsay (Jared) Brown, Brandy (Josh) Coulter, Mitchell (Kelly) Bletscher, Melissa (Joey) White, Brian Kopf, Lisa ( Dylan) Stoll, Julianne Kopf, Krista Kopf, Billy Kopf, and Nik Kopf; and 8 great-grandchildren, Morgan Bletscher, Ava Bletscher, Josie Bletscher, Kyla Bletscher, Abigail Brown, Lilly Kopf, Spencer White, and Lanie White. Sisters: Rita (Bernard) Darveaux, Holton KS and Mary Simpson, Omaha NE. and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Koelzer of Rulo, brother-in-law, Gerald Kopf of Kansas City, KS, many nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Cheri Marie Bletscher, a sister, Dorothy Kerl, brothers, Robert, Barney, and Jerry Koelzer.   

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Church at Rulo, with Fr. David Oldham as the presiding priest. Interment will be at The Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery.

A Parish Rosary will be recited on Friday at 6:30 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral. The family will receive friends following the rosary.
