Brian Funk
Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary, in Horton

Brian Michael Funk (Stumpy to his friends) 38, lost with his battle with colon cancer on June 5, 2021 at his home in Muscotah Ks. 

He was born December 17, 1983 in Atchison, Kansas the son of Pamela Funk and Ted Fenton. He graduated in 2002 from Dekalb, Missouri High School.

In 2003 he started working for an amazing man, Jay Armstrong, who was a mentor and a father figure. He was working there until his passing.

Two special ladies were Amy Cline who was a big sister figure. She took him twice a month to his chemo treatments. And his second mother Sharman Heineken. He dearly loved these two ladies.

His hobbies were racing, demolition derbies, guns, and video games.

Survivors include his mother Pam Funk and father Ted Fenton, sister Angel (Robert) Burton, nephews Cody Huninghake and Preston Burton, many aunts and uncles, and numerous cousins. Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the Muscotah United Church in Muscotah, Kansas with lunch to follow.
