Thelma L. Bohnenkemper, 83, of Denison, KS, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at her home. She was born September 19, 1937 in Banner, AR, the daughter of Leonard Lee and Lela Eugene (Daniels) Trundle.

Thelma graduated from Wetmore High School in 1955. She was a library assistant at Colorado and Central Schools and worked for Walmart both in Holton for many years.

She was a member of the Evangel United Methodist Church and Jackson County Friends of Hospice volunteer.

Thelma married Carl E. Bohnenkemper on July 17, 1955 in Wetmore, KS. He preceded her in death on August 4, 2015; after 60 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Claude and Richard Trundle.

Survivors include her children, Brenda Long (Carl) of North Richland Hills, TX, Mark Bohnenkemper (Laura) of Topeka, KS and Marcia Rucker of Topeka, KS; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

 Memorial Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the Denison Cemetery.
