Eleanor Elizabeth Lackland, 82, of Sabetha, Kansas formerly of Horton, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the Sabetha Community Hospital.

She was born on December 17, 1938 in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of Clarence and Edith Hinson Johnston. Eleanor was a homemaker and loved raising her children. On December 28, 1957 she married Billy Lackland in Atchison, Kansas. She was a member of the St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Horton, Kansas.

Survivors include a son, Larry (Kristine) Lackland of Thrall, Texas; three daughters, Angela Lackland of Sabetha, Kansas, Roxanne (Mannix) Ramirez of Sabetha, Kansas, and Gidgit (Robert) Rodriguez of Thrall, Texas; one brother, Randy Johnston of Atchison, Kansas; 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way and 1 great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy on August 13, 2007, her parents, two daughters, Tammela Lackland and Billie Falconor, granddaughter, Ashlee Reeves, great grandson, Alexander Reeves, four brothers, Charles, Daryl, Larry and Ronnie Johnston and five sisters, Sharon Farris, Sandra Shaw, Suzette Foster, Joyce Harvey and Gail Blanc.

A rosary will be recited at 5:30 P.M. on Monday, July 12, 2021 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas where the family will greet friends following the rosary until 7:30 P.M. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas.
