Phillip Ray Knudson, 74, of Fairview, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at his home.

Phil was born on November 23, 1946 in Horton, Kansas the son of Carl and Alma Spickelmier Knudson. Phil graduated from Horton High School in 1964. He then served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years, serving 3 terms in Vietnam. He married Rita Crider in 1969, to this union they had two sons, Brandon and Jeff. Phil farmed with his father and brother Dan before becoming an insurance agent. He then owned and operated Phily's Restaurant in Fairview, Kansas from 1999 to 2016.

Survivors include sons, Brandon of Phoenix, Arizona and Jeff of Wichita, Kansas; two brothers, Tom (Sheri) of Dallas, Texas and Dan (Sara) of Horton, Kansas; grandchildren, Brooke, Braden, Karlie, Alexander, Courtney, Sean and great granddaughter, Vivian.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 23, 2021 at the Claytonville Cemetery north east of Horton, Kansas. A special message may be sent to the family atwww.dishon-maple-chaney.com
